My third album, Underworld Songbook, comes out on October 23rd.

The Bronze Age Feeling Institute has issued an official statement about the new album:

The Underworld Songbook is a collection of traditional folk songs that come to us from the long-lost civilization known as the Voidfolk. Thanks to extensive translation work by Dr. Karen Erebus and her team at the Bronze Age Feeling Institute, the song-language of the Voidfolk has allowed us to glean the melodies that accompanied their lyrical poetry. Now, in this release from Bronze Age Feeling Records, Wallgrin’s research fellowship at the BAF Institute has led them to recreate the contents of the Songbook as accurately as possible alongside expert musical interpreters.

The Underworld beckons... Another handmade video and single from the forthcoming record is out today. I've been having many conference calls with the team of scientists at the Bronze Age Feeling Institute, so I made this video featuring some of my favourite moments.

I had an experience a couple years ago that led me to understand just how much tension I was holding in my need for clarity and reason. A completely unsustainable way to live. We're all about rigorous scientific analysis until, without warning, it must be pushed aside to make way for pure feeling. The final chorus in the video represents the moment I succumbed to the Not Knowing, and learned how to swim in the sea of uncertainty.

One last single awaits on September 25th, before the scrolls of the Underworld Songbook are completely unfurled.

Hello, my friends. It's been forever. I am so delighted to share a new song with you, one of my favourites on the new record. It's total yearncore, especially for all you "I'll find you in every lifetime" types of lovers. I made the music video myself, harkening back to memories of fantasy computer games and the feeling of losing oneself in the depths of the Universe.

I’ve always had a fascination with Deep Time, thinking about the ways we could communicate with people thousands of years from now. How can we tell them the truth in a way that will last, and won’t be misinterpreted? There are real and important reasons to figure this out, such as marking a nuclear waste site so future generations won’t disturb it even after human language has evolved past recognition. But "Dovetail" is more like, what if I fall through a Time Portal tomorrow and get stuck thousands of years ago, but I just wanted to say "I love you"?

Underworld Songbook in its entirety will be released on October 23rd this year — with a couple more singles on the way before then...
